Fight or do What’s Right?

The relevant question is this? I the U.S. presence in the Mid-East moral? As long as we are engaged in a war when we shouldn’t be, the costs will be greater than the benefits. That is based on a principle of natural law that is a major theme in both the Old and New Testaments. I do not know of a single case in history where this principle has not held. An act that has an immoral beginning will have a negative outcome. I have no idea why natural law works but it does.

It is tempting to reason, that we must do what is wrong for a while to bring about circumstances where it is easier to do what is right. That is self delusion. Do what is right, always in the present moment and that always brings about the best results.
